Sparkly Stars (Free Pattern!)

I made these stars several years ago for a New Year Wreath, which I will be posting soon! I crocheted a total of 15 stars (there are only 14 in the picture because I hadn't completed the last one yet!)

So, while I work on the post for the New Year Wreath, I leave you with the pattern for these beautiful Sparkly Stars!

Materials:

  • Hook: US E 3.5mm
  • Yarn: Lion Brand sparkly bonbons in 15 colors
  • Scissors
  • Darning needle
Chain 5.

Slip Stitch into the first chain to form a circle.

Round 1 -

*3dc, ch3.
Repeat from * 3 more times.
You will have 5dc clusters and 5 ch3 in all.
Join with a slip stitch to the 3rd ch of the first ch3.

Round 2 -

slip stitch into the next 2dc and into the first ch3 space.

Repeat from * 3 more times.
You will have 5 clusters containing 3dc, 1 ch3, and 3dc each.
Join with a slip stitch to the 3rd ch of the first ch3.

Round 3 -

Slip stitch into the next 2dc and into the first dc ch3 space.
This step will look like this:

*4dc, ch4, 4dc in next ch3 space, 1sc on either side of next hdc from previous round. Repeat from * 3 more times
You will have 5 clusters containing 4dc, 1 ch4, and 4dc each
Join with a slip stitch to the 3rd ch of the first ch3.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

I love how colorful and sparkly these are! And I can't wait to share with you how they look on the New Year Wreath!
