I made these stars several years ago for a New Year Wreath, which I will be posting soon! I crocheted a total of 15 stars (there are only 14 in the picture because I hadn't completed the last one yet!)
So, while I work on the post for the New Year Wreath, I leave you with the pattern for these beautiful Sparkly Stars!
Materials:
- Hook: US E 3.5mm
- Yarn: Lion Brand sparkly bonbons in 15 colors
- Scissors
- Darning needle
Slip Stitch into the first chain to form a circle.
Round 1 -
Repeat from * 3 more times.
You will have 5dc clusters and 5 ch3 in all.
Join with a slip stitch to the 3rd ch of the first ch3.
Round 2 -
ch3, 2dc, ch3 into same ch3 space.
1hdc in 2nd dc of next dc cluster from previous round.
*3dc, ch3, 3dc in next ch3 space, 1hdc in 2nd dc of next dc cluster from previous round.
Repeat from * 3 more times.
You will have 5 clusters containing 3dc, 1 ch3, and 3dc each.
Join with a slip stitch to the 3rd ch of the first ch3.
Round 3 -
Slip stitch into the
next 2dc and into the first dc ch3 space.
This step will look like
this:Ch3, 3dc, ch4, 4dc, 1sc on either side of the hdc from previous round.
*4dc, ch4, 4dc in next ch3 space, 1sc on either side of next hdc from previous round. Repeat from * 3 more times
You will have 5 clusters containing 4dc, 1 ch4, and 4dc each
Join with a slip stitch to the 3rd ch of the first ch3.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
