I had so much fun making this tiny forrest elf! The mushroom hat she is wearing is absolutely everything! I had a few "firsts" through this pattern- it was my first time using a 0.75 hook (the smallest hook I've used was 2.00) and it was my first time making french knots (yes, I know they are not perfect and there's room for improvement). I used cotton DK yarn for this project.

As a child, I used to have a pair of parakeets- one blue and one green/yellow. They were very sweet birds and their coloring was beautiful!

I purchased a pattern pack of crochet birds from Moji Moji Design recently. They are all very cute and I plan on making the little love bird at some point (also because I had a pair of love birds growing up!). I guess these feathered friends remind me of my childhood!

This was also a quick project, with easy to follow instructions! The pattern pack also comes with instruction to make the birds a perch!

How is a tiny gnome wearing a cute little acorn hat for a fun & quick weekend project? 

I found this free pattern on Instagram, through the account @crochet_paladin. Instead of sewing on eyes with embroidery floss, I used safety eyes and opted to give him rosy cheeks instead of an embroidered mouth. For yarn, I used cotton DK as I do with most of the amigurumis I crochet!

They are so tiny and cute!

I also played around with the yarn color and eye placement just so each little mandrake would have its uniqueness. I know I went overboard with the photos, but they are all so cute I could not decide!

It's been a while since I picked up a crochet hook! This year has been quite the year. The latest Supreme Court decision regarding Roe v. Wade inspired me to work on this quick project. The original pattern had a smiley face...but women are not smiling right now.

Thank goodness for crochet being my outlet to express my feelings... and thank goodness for voting and advocating! 

I have been eyeing this pattern for years now but it felt too intimidating to tackle. I was gifted the pattern for my birthday and around July I decided it was time to give it a try. There were **so many** chains and it took me a while to make them look decent, so there was a lot of chain frogging along the way. I had to set this project aside for a few months, as life got in the way, but I finally finished it this weekend!
